The Instramed Sound-Dilator is a sturdy but flexible, single-use, double-ended designed for gentle dilation of the cervix and assessing the uterus's depth.

The double-ended sound dilator made of smooth plastic and is 277mm long.

It has rounded tips to allow gradual dilation of the cervix and reduce the risk of perforation.

There are 1cm markings on both ends.

The sound end is 3mm in width, whilst the dilator end reaches a maximum diameter of 5.5mm within 40mm of the tip.

The Instramed Sound Dilator can be used in most gynaecological situations where dilation and sounding are required, for example, IUD exertion.
