Single‑use safety lancet for capillary blood sampling, designed as a pre‑loaded, sterile puncture device for point‑of‑care or laboratory capillary collection. The plastic-bodied, pre‑assembled device uses a side‑firing activation and internal spring mechanism to deliver a controlled, quick puncture while minimising direct handling of the needle. Immediately after activation the needle automatically retracts into the device body, preventing reuse. Devices are supplied sterile and intended for single‑patient use, with disposal advised into an appropriate sharps container. The lancet’s pre‑set fixed penetration depth is intended to provide consistent sampling without manual depth adjustment.
